Pentair Clean & Clear Plus 240

The Pentair Clean & Clear Plus 240 (CCP240) uses four 60 square foot cartridges: Unicel C-7469, Pleatco PCC60, or Filbur FC-1975.

The Clean & Clear Plus 240 (CCP240) is the smallest filter in the Pentair Clean & Clear Plus line. It uses four cartridges, each 60 square feet, for 240 square feet total. The cartridge is shorter than the 320's, at 14 1/8 inches, but shares the same 7 inch diameter and 3 inch openings. If your housing reads Clean & Clear Plus 240 or CCP240, this is the cartridge family that fits it.

How to verify this is the right cartridge

Check the housing label first. A tank reading Clean & Clear Plus 240, CCP240, or Pentair 160310 takes this cartridge. On the cartridge end cap, look for C-7469, PCC60, FC-1975, or the Pentair numbers 178569 or R173572.

If you are measuring, the CCP240 cartridge is 14 1/8 inches long and 7 inches across, with 3 inch openings at both ends. The length is what separates it from its siblings: the 320 cartridge is 20 inches, the 420 is 26, the 520 is 32. Get the length right and you have the correct size.

The most common mistake in this family is ordering the wrong size. All four Clean & Clear Plus cartridges are 7 inches in diameter and look similar, but the lengths differ. A 240 cartridge will not correctly fill a 320 housing, and the reverse leaves the tank unable to close. Match the housing number or measure the length.
